Airventure W9W Special Station
I went to the 2022 Experimental Aircraft Association convention and Fly-In that is known as Airventure. As I wandered through the Warbirds area, I spotted a hex beam high above one of the RVs (Recreational Vehicle, not to be confused with the Van’s Aircraft series of RV homebuilt planes that are celebrating their 50th anniversary).
The RV was a special event station W9W, sponsored by ICOM, and I talked to Ray Novak N9JA.
First physical QSO card of the year for me.
