Hello AARC Club Members,
For those that don’t know me, I am John Lime III, KL4OF, and I am an AARC Board Member. I just wanted to reach out to those in the Anchorage area regarding two special events this month.
The first is a Technician License Class that will be held at the RSOC on March 28/29. It is being run by our club treasurer Kent Petty, KL5T. If you know someone interested in getting started in Ham Radio, or are interested in assisting him, please follow this link [1] to learn more.
The second item is the same weekend (March 28/29) but is a bit different. The Anchorage Gun Collectors Association is hosting a spring gun show at the Sullivan Arena that weekend. The AARC has tables for showing a little bit of ham radio to other folks and maybe finding new members for the club. If you are interested in helping with this event, please send me an e-mail [2] and I can give you more information. I can say that helping man the tables for a few hours either day I will get you into the show without having to pay the entrance fee ($7/person).
