Alaska Native Medical Center – MESH Equipment Installed!

My daughter Riley and I worked last night to mock up and configure all the Mesh gear for ANMC.  Today we tore down the mock up and deployed the equipment.  It consists of:

1 – Ubiquiti Rocket M3 Radio mounted to a 120 Sector antenna pointed north-northeast

1 – Ubiquiti Rocket M3 Radio mounted to a 120 Sector antenna pointed south

1 – Ubiquiti Air Router

1 – Grandstream GXV3240 IP Telephone

The equipment is working great and has enhanced our overall network robustness.  These units are making direct links to our nodes on the hillside, Providence Medical Center, and the EARS club station.  These 2 high gain sectors should prove useful for anyone in the local area to gain access to the mesh.  Operating frequency is 3.420 GHz.

To learn more about MESH, our network, and it’s capabilities, contact Kent Petty, KL5T at mesh@kl7aa.net [1].
