🎓 Anchorage ARC Youth Licensing Scholarship

Fostering the next generation of Amateur Radio operators.

The Anchorage ARC Youth Licensing Scholarship was established to support youth development by removing the financial barriers to entry for amateur radio. We are proud to reimburse qualified applicants for their examination and FCC fees.

💰 What the Scholarship Covers:

• The License Examination Fee: Full reimbursement for your Anchorage VEC session.
• The FCC License Application Fee: Full reimbursement for the $35 fee (for new licensees only).

📋 Eligibility & Requirements

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Age: Must be under the age of 18 at the time of the exam.
• Testing: Must have had their examination administered by an Anchorage ARC VEC team (remote or in-person) on or after December 14, 2025.
• Timeline: The application must be submitted within 30 days of the FCC issuing or upgrading the license.
• Funding: Scholarships are awarded on a funds-available basis.

The application process is simple and entirely online.

1. Pass Your Exam: Successfully earn your new license or upgrade with an Anchorage VEC team.
2. Wait for the FCC: Ensure your new or upgraded license appears in the FCC database.
3. Submit the Form: Complete the online scholarship application to confirm your identity and eligibility.
4. Get Reimbursed: Once approved, your reimbursement will be issued via Check or PayPal.
