Know any youth in your area interested in Emergency Preparedness?

Students who have a passion for disaster preparedness and helping others, are involved with their community, and enjoy meeting other engaged youth from across the country are encouraged to apply to the Youth Preparedness Council, a FEMA youth-led Council, comprised of 13 members and one chair.

The application period starts January 23, interested teens will be able to apply to join this unique and impactful program that offers an opportunity for teens to share their ideas and feedback with FEMA, improve their leadership skills, and develop preparedness projects. National YPC members also participate in an annual youth summit in Washington, D.C. with FEMA leaders and preparedness professionals to network and learn more about the field of emergency management.

FEMA will host two webinars for potential applicants to learn more about the YPC application process and to ask FEMA staff questions.
