Sign up for the Alaska Run for Women event
It’s time to sign up for the 2024 Alaska Run for Women. It will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, and is a half day event.
Get your HT charged, load up on mosquito repellant, pack a snack, and come out and exercise your equipment and skills while supporting a worthy charity. If you are a new ham, or interested in becoming a ham, we will pair you with someone experienced to gain experience.
The Anchorage Amateur Radio Club provides situational awareness and safety support for these events. It is fun and we need your help, so please sign up. This event typically utilizes 10 ham radio volunteers, but there is no limit. Positions staffed typically are:
Net Control
Start/Finish shadow
Quad area (near start finish)
Course Safety 1 (Bike mobile)
Course Safety 2 (Bike mobile)
Goose Lake (2 volunteers last year)
Substation
CDC Aid Station
Health and Wellness
