Anchorage ARC VEC administers first fully remote exam

By: Brandin Hess, WL1B

Fully remote testing is now available with the Anchorage ARC VEC! Through a session that was held on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 we were able to successfully administer a remote examination without the need for a procotor to be physically present. The applicant, Dan Purgert (now KE8PFU) gave us the opportunity to make this a reality. He was able to successfully pass his Technician and General class license examinations and we welcome him to amateur radio!

The VE team responsible for this milestone in our VEC history were as follows: Brandin Hess (WL1B), Charles Andrews (W5AD) and Joel Perry (KN4EWI). I personally thank my other two VE’s for helping our program reach this incredible milestone. For updated information on our two options for remote testing, please see our page by clicking HERE.
