Did You Know? New Tech Teaching Tools Are Here!

The Anchorage Amateur Radio Club is proud to announce that we have received a generous grant from the ARRL Foundation. This funding has allowed us to significantly upgrade our educational infrastructure with professional-grade digital oscilloscopes, breadboard kits, and a sophisticated analyzer.

What’s New? We have acquired 18 digital oscilloscopes, which have been “married” to our 15 Digital/Analog Trainers. The three remaining oscilloscopes have been installed at each of our three dedicated Tech Lab workstations, providing a powerful hands-on environment for:

  • License Exam Prep: Real-world visualization of theory.
  • Basic Electronics Coursework: From DC fundamentals to complex signal analysis.
  • Circuit Construction: Our kits now feature integrated AC/DC power supplies, signal generators, breadboards, soldering kits, and multimeters.

Whether you are learning to solder for the first time or analyzing the behavior of transistors and inductors, the RSOC is now better equipped than ever to support your journey.

We Need Your Expertise! With this incredible “reservoir of equipment” comes a need for instructors. Are you willing to share your knowledge, experience, and skills? We are looking for members to help organize and deliver training in basic electronics and advanced radio theory.

A huge thank you to the ARRL Foundation for their investment in the future of Alaska’s amateur radio community.
