It is with great sadness that I must report that long-time Life Member Richard L Block, KL7RLB, passed away on August 14, 2021. Richard passed peacefully with his family at his side.
Besides his long list of accomplishments noted in his obituary, Richard was a staunch and active supporter of the Anchorage Amateur Radio Club. Most recently, he and his foundation helped fund important improvements to the Radio Science and Operations Center, namely a new paint job and minor gutter repairs. As a result, the building now looks great.
Richard’s advice and counsel were invaluable and he will be missed.
