Anchorage Senior Center Progress – Near Ready for Beam Install
Kent (KL5T) and Sid (KL7SID) did a bit more work at the Anchorage Senior Center on Friday, 9/15. We installed PL259 connectors on each end of the LMR-400 coaxial cable that is in place for the A3S tribander, and two X50 dual band (VHF/UHF) antennas.
Our hope is to have the station operational for the upcoming ARES SET on October 7.
Next steps will be to actually install the A3S and the VHF/UHF antennas. We then need to get a computer installed as well as a basic packet station. An HF transceiver is already in place as well as a 40/80 meter dipole.
If you are able to help, please reach out to Kent at vicepresident@kl7aa.net.
