Busy March 28/29
Hello AARC Club Members,
For those that don’t know me, I am John Lime III, KL4OF, and I am an AARC Board Member. I just wanted to reach out to those in the Anchorage area regarding two special events this month.
The first is a Technician License Class that will be held at the RSOC on March 28/29. It is being run by our club treasurer Kent Petty, KL5T. If you know someone interested in getting started in Ham Radio, or are interested in assisting him, please follow this link to learn more.
The second item is the same weekend (March 28/29) but is a bit different. The Anchorage Gun Collectors Association is hosting a spring gun show at the Sullivan Arena that weekend. The AARC has tables for showing a little bit of ham radio to other folks and maybe finding new members for the club. If you are interested in helping with this event, please send me an e-mail and I can give you more information. I can say that helping man the tables for a few hours either day I will get you into the show without having to pay the entrance fee ($7/person).
